06:06 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- German energy technology company Siemens Energy's (ENR.F) planned sale of a majority stake in its Transformation of Industry division has drawn interest from buyout firms including CVC Capital Partners (CVC.AS), EQT (EQT.ST), Bain Capital, Brookfield and KKR. Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing unnamed sources, that any deal would value the steam turbines business at more than 10 billion euros. The company's board is expected to meet the same day to determine the process for the potential stake sale, which is being managed by Goldman Sachs Group. The sources cautioned that talks remain ongoing but there is no certainty the private equity firms will make offers. When reached by MT Newswires for a comment, a Siemens Energy spokesperson said that a decision is yet to be made, adding, "Siemens Energy routinely reviews its portfolio to ensure every business has the best strategic and financial conditions to compete, invest, and grow over the long term. As part of this ongoing work, we are assessing the best long-term setup to accelerate the growth journey for our Transformation of Industry Business Area." Bain Capital and KKR declined to comment, while CVC, EQT, Brookfield, and Goldman Sachs did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
