The Information Bureau of the Three Armed Forces of Pakistan issued a statement on the 25th saying that Pakistan Army Chief of Staff Mounir and Interior Minister Naqvi have completed a one-day visit to Iran. The two sides focused on preventing further escalation of the situation, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and speeding up measures to end the conflict. The statement said that the two sides also exchanged views on regional peace and how to resolve the dispute through negotiations. The Iraqi side appreciates the constructive role and sincere efforts of the Palestinian side in promoting dialogue, easing the situation, and resolving the conflict peacefully. Naqvi said in a social media post on the 25th that he and Mounir had a positive and productive meeting with Iranian President Pezzahizyan. Naqvi said that the two sides focused on the conflict between Iran and the US, tension and future trends in the Middle East region, and the measures the two sides need to take to resume implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, so as to finally achieve a comprehensive settlement of the conflict. The talks made significant progress and ended on a positive note.
