Maersk Shipping: According to data, ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and the Strait of Mande remained active last week, but overall traffic volume overshadowed major changes at the ship structure level. A total of 121 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz, an increase of 2.5% over the previous 118. The number of ships carrying cargo in transit dropped to 35, a decrease of 27%; the number of ballast sailing vessels increased to 61, and the number of sanctions-related ships in transit increased from 9 to 16. Ships under Iran's unilateral route arrangements account for 46.3% of the total transit volume. There were 269 ships crossing the Mander Strait, an increase of 3.1%, or about 2.2 times the traffic volume of the Strait of Hormuz. The number of vessels carrying cargo in transit increased to 131, and the number of stealth transit vessels that turned off the AIS signal dropped from 23 to 15.
