According to forecasts, due to the heavy rainfall caused by Typhoon No. 20 “Jane LaVey” of this year, rivers such as the Minjiang River, Jiulong River, Tingjiang River, and coastal rivers in Fujian will experience significant flooding from August 24 to 25. Some small to medium rivers in the torrential rain zone may experience excessive flooding. According to the “Ministry of Water Resources's Flood and Drought Disaster Prevention Emergency Response Work Procedure”, the Ministry of Water Resources initiated a flood prevention level IV emergency response for Fujian Province at 17:00 on August 24, and dispatched a task force to the frontline of typhoon rainstorm flood prevention to guide and supervise local water departments and relevant watershed management agencies to pay close attention to changes in rain conditions, strengthen emergency duty and consultation and judgment, strengthen monitoring, forecasting and early warning, and scientifically dispatch water projects to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
