Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388): Appointment of Wong Ka-kin as Head of External Communications Effective September 21

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 24, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388) announced that Wong Ka-kin will join the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 21 to lead the Group's external communications work, including media relations, social media, content planning and speech writing, and lead related communications and content teams. He will report to the Group's Chief Communications Officer, Wu Yuhua.

Prior to joining the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Wong Ka-kin held a number of senior communications positions at Manulife Financial Asia Limited for over 10 years. Recent positions include Head of Asia Communications at Manulife Investments Management and Head of the Public Relations Department in Manulife Asia.

Wu Yuhua, Chief Communications Officer of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Group, said that Wong Ka-kin is very welcome to join the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He has worked in finance and corporate communications for over 25 years and has extensive experience in strategic consulting, issue management, digital communication and talent development. I am convinced that his expertise and leadership will assist the Group in building a strategic layout of a multi-asset ecosystem and contribute to the long-term prosperity of Hong Kong's capital market.

Prior to joining Manulife, Wong Ka-kin worked for Sun Hung Kai Properties and held senior positions at various international PR firms, including Fleishman-Hillard (Fleishman-Hillard) and Ketchum (Ketchum). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in the United States.
