Yao Zhenzhi, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, explained at the press conference of the World Power Battery Conference held by the Information Office of the Sichuan Provincial Government on the 20th that China's power battery loading capacity increased from 63.6 GWh in 2020 to 769.7 GWh in 2025, increasing more than ten times over several years. From January to July of this year, the industry continued to maintain a good growth trend. The cumulative sales volume reached 790.4 GWh, up 37.1% year on year, and cumulative exports reached 146.7 GWh, up 52.1% year on year. Yao Zhenzhi also said that China has built a complete industrial chain covering upstream mineral resources, positive and negative electrode materials, electrolytes, diaphragms, battery cell manufacturing, complete equipment, and recycling. The energy density of lithium iron phosphate and ternary batteries was increased to 210 Wh/kg and 300 Wh/kg respectively; 4-6C high-rate fast charging batteries were mass-produced, new technology routes such as sodium-ion batteries were industrialized, and hybrid solid-liquid batteries were used in small-scale loading.
