We learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that as of today, Yanhai, the east side of the Heihe River, has not dried up for 22 consecutive years. The Heihe River is an important ecological barrier in northwest China. The end point of the river, Yanhai Sea, dried up in 1992 and was once one of the main sources of sandstorm strategies in China. Through more than 20 years of management and protection, the ecology of Dongju Enkai and its surrounding area has been revitalized.
