People familiar with the matter revealed that HRT's quarterly transaction revenue increased more than three times over the same period last year, with quarterly net profit of 7.4 billion US dollars. Second-quarter adjusted profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization was approximately US$8 billion, up more than 350% from US$1.75 billion in the same period last year. People familiar with the matter added that HRT executives said in a conference call with bondholders that although the July market was affected by issues related to Situational Awareness, HRT did not directly invest in the fund and was still profitable during the month.
