EBOS Group stock closed at NZ$23.55 today after investors digested a full year that was more about pressure than celebration. The headline is a squeeze. Underlying EBITDA of A$614m and net profit after tax of A$250m came through while net profit margin over the trailing period stayed at about 1.7%, slightly thinner than a year ago.
The market has already experienced a strong 90 day run in the share price. The key issue now is how much long term value EBOS Group can derive from its new A$360m distribution assets while managing a dividend that currently yields 5.53%.

Bulls argue EBOS Group’s heavy spend on new distribution centres should now translate into higher throughput, better margins and more cash from a larger base in healthcare and animal care. FY26 goes some distance toward that story. The A$360m DC rollout is complete and Kemps Creek is already about 20% more productive than the site it replaced, with a 30% uplift targeted by FY27. That directly supports the claim that automation can offset pressure from lower percentage margins on high value medicines.
Revenue of A$13.5b and underlying EBITDA of A$614m show the bigger network is being used, not just built. Healthcare EBITDA of A$516m, despite fuel and FX headwinds, and Animal Care EBITDA of A$138m on A$907m revenue, indicate the tilt toward higher return segments is visible in the mix. The maintained dividend and net leverage at 2.1x suggest the balance sheet is coping with the investment phase.
Access the multi year earnings and cash flow analyst estimates for EBOS GroupThe cautious view on EBOS Group is that a heavier mix of high value, low percentage margin medicines and fierce pharmacy wholesale competition will slowly erode profitability and expose an uncovered dividend. This result gives bears some support. Group net profit margin is flat at 1.7% compared with 1.8% in the prior period, so the large investment in A$360m of distribution assets has not yet translated into a clear margin uplift. Healthcare EBITDA grew more slowly than segment revenue and management acknowledged fuel, FX and new pricing arrangements as headwinds, which points to limited pricing power for now.
At the same time, the dividend is maintained and net leverage sits at 2.1x, inside the 1.7x to 2.3x target. That means the feared balance sheet stretch is not yet visible, although a higher payout is being supported without clear margin expansion so far.
