The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Wednesday, Circle (CRCL.US) rose more than 7% to $77.06. According to the news, on August 18, the US Securities and Exchange Commission SEC issued a “Crypto Asset Regulation” proposal. The framework will allow crypto projects to raise up to 75 million US dollars without full securities registration and establish a conditional safe harbor mechanism for some crypto assets, so that they are no longer considered securities after the conditions are met.

On August 19, the US Financial Accounting Standards Board FASB proposed treating eligible stablecoins as “cash equivalents,” and USDC and EURC stablecoins issued by Circle are expected to directly benefit from this change in accounting standards.
