Marvell Technology Inc. and Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., announced the expansion of chip development cooperation, including Marvell issuing warrants to Google, and Google can purchase up to $12.2 billion of Marvell shares based on this. Google can buy up to 58,970,907 Marvell shares at a price of $206.58 per share, Marvell said in regulatory filings on Wednesday. According to the document, nearly 1.4 million of these shares will be vested in equal quarterly amounts within the first year after the warrants come into effect. The remaining shares will be owned according to Marvell's “independent procurement” situation from the third quarter of fiscal year 2027 to the end of fiscal year 2033. For every 500 million US dollars in revenue generated by the two companies, a batch of shares will be owned. According to the statement, the two companies will cooperate in the fields of artificial intelligence inference accelerators, memory controllers, network interface controllers, storage interface controllers, and near-memory computing.
