06:33 AM EDT, 08/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Agri-food cooperative group Dcoop reportedly offered 470 million euros to acquire a majority stake in Spanish olive oil processing company Deoleo (OLE.MC). Spain's El Economista reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources, that Dcoop is now leading the bidding war, which includes Italian companies Coricelli, Bonifiche Ferraresi, and Newlat Food (NWL.MI), through New Princess, the French company Lesieur, and Australia-based Cobram Estate Olive. The potential deal covers the sale of a 57% stake in Deoleo, which is held by CVC Capital Partners (CVC.AS). The sources told the publication that the talks are ongoing and the deal is not yet finalized. Dcoop and Deoleo did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
