Currently, Beijing has nearly 1,000 robotics companies and 7 new smart enterprises with new unicorns, ranking first in the country. Yin Yong pointed out that Beijing has built a personalized intelligent robot innovation center and five new R&D institutions, gathering various innovators to strengthen core technology research, and a large number of iconic technologies and products have emerged in the fields of robot bodies, open source brains, and dexterous hands. The comprehensive layout consists of 14 types of key components for humanoid robots, and a complete OEM production line with an annual production capacity of 20,000 units was built. Production of industrial robots and service robots increased 76% and 2.3 times, respectively, in the first half of this year. Yin Yong said that with strong support from various national ministries and departments, Beijing has built an important platform for “two events and one race” such as the World Robotics Conference, the World Humanoid Robot Games, and the Humanoid Robotics Half Marathon. It is with these iconic activities that Beijing is leading the formulation of industry rules and the definition of standards. More than 90% of national standards in the field of robotics are led and prepared with the participation of Beijing innovators.
