According to Woofun AI, a dispute broke out on the X platform on August 18 over the cracking of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin private key. In response to the online claim that wealth can be obtained through random guessing recovery phrases, industry researchers quickly denied it, stressing that this theory is completely unfounded in mathematical logic.

According to Arkham's smart records, as of August 17, 2026, the address associated with Satoshi Nakamoto still holds over 1 million BTC. Violent cracking requires going through 24 word mnemonic combinations. Even if the computational power reaches 1 trillion types per second, Woofun AI compiled data showing that it takes 1.8 octodecillion years to achieve a 50% success rate, far exceeding the age of the universe at 13.8 billion years, proving that existing cryptographic systems are statistically resistant to such attacks.

The widely spread hypothesis is a fundamental technical misunderstanding that assets are protected by the BIP-39 mnemonic standard. In fact, the standard was born many years after Satoshi left the community. Between 2009 and 2010, Bitcoin used a public-key-oriented payment/P2PK format to generate keys, causing its assets to be scattered across more than 22,000 separate addresses.
