The Zhitong Finance App learned that Basic Semiconductors (09971) rose more than 7% at the end of the session. As of press release, it had risen 7.05% to HK$70.65, with a turnover of HK$22.9971 million.

According to the news, Basic Semiconductor plans to hold a board meeting on August 28 to approve the interim results. In addition, the company applied for the conversion of 16.76 million unlisted domestic shares (about 5.51% of the company's total issued shares) into H shares to implement full circulation of H shares.

Notably, on July 13, Basic Semiconductor announced a price increase of no more than 25% for some products starting in the third quarter of 2026; on July 27, Basic Semiconductor announced plans to expand its silicon carbide module packaging base in Shenzhen; and on August 4, Basic Semiconductor announced that it had reached a strategic cooperation with Taiwan's Hanlei Technology to accelerate the development and mass production of 8-inch silicon carbide wafers. The company quickly completed a complete closed loop from market strategy adjustments, accelerated production capacity expansion to technology route upgrades.
