China Automobile Association: Automobile exports of 1.043 million vehicles increased by 81.3% year-on-year in July

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to an analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in July 2026, automobile exports were 1.043 million vehicles, up 0.6% month-on-month and 81.3% year-on-year. From January to July 2026, 6.14 million vehicles were exported, an increase of 66.8% over the previous year. In July 2026, exports continued to grow rapidly. The monthly export volume exceeded 1 million vehicles for two consecutive months, and NEV exports accounted for more than 50% for two consecutive months.

In July 2026, 922,000 passenger cars were exported, up 2% month-on-month and 84.6% year-on-year.

From January to July 2026, passenger car exports were 5.354 million units, an increase of 72.5% over the previous year.

In July 2026, 121,000 commercial vehicles were exported, a year-on-month decrease of 8.6% and a year-on-year increase of 59.6%.

From January to July 2026, 785,000 commercial vehicles were exported, an increase of 36.1% over the previous year.

In July 2026, 490,000 conventional fuel vehicles were exported, down 4.6% from the previous month and up 40% from the previous year.

From January to July 2026, 3.231 million conventional fuel vehicles were exported, an increase of 36.2% over the previous year.

In July 2026, 553,000 new energy vehicles were exported, up 5.7% month-on-month and 1.5 times year-on-year.

From January to July 2026, 2.09 million new energy vehicles were exported, an increase of 1.2 times over the previous year.
