The Yichun Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environmental Protection plans to accept the environmental impact assessment documents of the Yichun Times New Energy Mining Co., Ltd.'s Jianxiawo lithium mine project in Zhenkouli-Fengxin County, Yifeng County, Jiangxi Province. Currently, the EIA documents and public participation instructions for the above projects are being publicized before they are ready for acceptance. The publicity period is from August 17, 2026 to August 28, 2026. Since the Jianxiawo lithium mine is the largest known lithium mica mine in the world, it is designed to produce about 100,000 tons of lithium carbonate per year. Before production was discontinued, it accounted for about 8% to 10% of the country's total production. Therefore, when to resume production has attracted public attention.
