According to weather forecasts, there will still be widespread rainfall in Zhejiang from August 14 to 15, with some 50 to 70 mm in northern Zhejiang and coastal areas, and 90 to 150 mm in parts. The hydrological forecast is that water levels in the Tiaoxi and Hangjiahu plain river networks will continue to rise. According to the “Zhejiang Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan”, after investigation and consultation, the Provincial Defense Bureau decided to launch a flood control level IV emergency response at 20:00 on August 14. All relevant regions and departments should efficiently operate the “1833” joint command system, organize joint duty, strengthen scientific scheduling of reservoir and river networks and inspection and maintenance of high-water embankment polder areas, be highly alert to risks such as flash floods and geological disasters caused by heavy rainfall, strengthen early warning and response, quickly activate small units, and decisively transfer personnel in dangerous areas.
