Deciphera Pharmaceuticals' Cell Tumor Drug Vimseltinib Gets UK Regulatory Clearance

08:19 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency approved Deciphera Pharmaceuticals' vimseltinib to treat adults with tenosynovial giant cell tumor when the condition impacts movement or is unsuitable for surgery. The British regulator said Friday that vimseltinib, or romvimza, is still under close review. It also flagged potential side effects including tiredness, swelling around the eyes, ankles and feet, and itching, among others. Tenosynovial giant cell tumor is a rare, non-cancerous tumor that forms around a joint and tendons, causing pain, swelling, stiffness, and mobility restrictions.
