The Jiangsu Photographers Association announced on August 14 that recently, the “Happy Village Empowers Beauty” Jiangsu Federation of Literature and Art Empowers Rural Revitalization Video Exhibition opened. According to reports from filmmakers, one of the works selected in the exhibition's “Fun in the Beautiful Countryside” is highly similar to images of works shortlisted in other contests published online and signed by others. The Jiangsu Photographic Association attached great importance to this and immediately initiated an emergency inspection. According to investigation, one of the works in the group photo “Fun in the Beautiful Countryside” by author Yang Mouyu was not his own original work. The Provincial Photographic Association did not approve Yang Mouyu's explanation of the “misoperation” submission when questioned by the Provincial Photographic Association after investigation. Based on this, it was decided to disqualify this work. Since the author's actions during submission, map adjustment, and inspection violated the principle of good faith, it was decided to also disqualify another work, “Beautiful Countryside Scenery in the Smoke and Rain,” which he submitted in this competition.
