The Zhitong Finance App learned that Samsonite (01910) fell by more than 3%. As of press release, it fell 3.44% to HK$13.46, with a turnover of HK$13.4096 million.

According to the news, Samsonite announced its 2026 interim results. In the first half of the year, it achieved net sales of US$1,680.6 million, up 1.1% year on year; profit attributable to equity holders of US$90.9 million, a decrease of 23.1% year on year; operating profit of US$206.9 million, a decrease of 13.2% year on year; and adjusted EBITDA of US$246 million, a decrease of 8.5% year on year. The announcement stated that the net sales growth rate calculated at a constant exchange rate for the third quarter of 2026 is expected to remain stable and remain within a range similar to that of the second quarter of 2026.

Citi believes that Samsonite management expects net sales growth in the third quarter at a fixed exchange rate to be similar to that of the second quarter, which is lower than market forecasts. Revenue and profit margins may continue to be under pressure in the second half of the year due to weak consumer confidence and a slowdown in global travel demand. Furthermore, the company still intends to complete a dual listing in the US this year under improved conditions. The business sees this as a potential catalyst for revaluation.
