The Zhitong Finance App learned that China Gold International (02099) rose nearly 8% after the results. As of press release, it had risen 7.8% to HK$201, with a turnover of HK$141 million.

According to the news, on August 13, China Gold International announced sales revenue of about US$914 million in mid-2026, an increase of 57.52% over the previous year. Mine operating profit was about US$620 million, up 123.83% year on year; profit attributable to company owners was about US$507 million, up 153.31% year on year; profit per share was 127.99 US cents. Total gold production decreased by 18% to 72,300 ounces from 88,200 ounces in the same period in 2025. Total copper production was 78.6 million pounds (about 35,671 tons), a slight increase from 77 million pounds (about 34,924 tons) in the same period in 2025.

It is worth mentioning that on August 14, China Gold International announced that the company's management has approved the plan submitted by its wholly-owned subsidiary Tibet Huatailong Mining Development Co., Ltd. (Huatailong) to advance the next stage development plan for the Jiama copper polymetallic mine (Jiama mine) located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. After evaluating and comparing multiple development options, the proposed development plan will expand the combined processing capacity of the Jiama mine from the current design capacity of 50,000 tons/day to about 160,000 tons/day, subject to ongoing pre-feasibility studies and subsequent internal reviews, necessary regulatory approvals and other legal procedures before implementation can be implemented.
