Netcompany (CPSE:NETC) Stock Growth Momentum Meets A Lingering Margin Squeeze

Simply Wall St·08/13/2026 23:35:33
Listen to the news

Netcompany Group stock closed at DKK327.0 on Thursday, with the market already pricing in a high growth story on a P/E of 52.3x. The latest quarter did little to settle the debate over whether that premium represents comfort or a potential cliff edge. Headline revenue for the first half reached DKK4.9b, with organic growth in the mid teens, and management raised full year revenue guidance.

The catch lies in profitability. A reported net profit margin of 3.3% for the last year and a recent one off loss of DKK336.0m keep the margin and cash flow squeeze firmly at the centre of the Netcompany Group equity story.

Netcompany growth story passes top line test

Bulls argue Netcompany Group can turn its public sector and regulated industry focus, plus VERÁ, AMPLIO and Feniks AI, into durable growth and better margins. The latest half points in that direction on revenue execution. H1 revenue reached DKK4.9b with organic growth a little above 15%. Q2 organic growth was about 17% with both public and private clients contributing and all key regions growing. Netcompany Banking Services delivered 17% growth versus the prior pro forma period, which supports the idea that the banking unit can expand the addressable market rather than just absorb management time.

Margin evidence is more mixed. Organic adjusted EBITDA margin in H1 was 15.9% compared with 16.2% a year earlier, so the improvement is not yet visible at group level. However, Q2 organic adjusted EBITDA margin before HQ costs improved by 1.6 percentage points, which partially supports the margin uplift narrative.

Margin squeeze keeps Netcompany bear case alive

The cautious view centres on thin margins, cash flow strain and integration risk at Netcompany Group. The numbers still give that view some support. Reported net profit margin of 3.3% over the last year is less than half the prior 7.5%. The recent DKK336.0m loss and the DKK148m to DKK149m redundancy provision underline how much restructuring is still flowing through the income statement. H1 organic adjusted EBITDA margin slipped slightly to 15.9% despite strong revenue growth, which challenges the idea that scale alone will quickly repair profitability.

Free cash flow in Q2 was DKK41.2m after a weak Q1, and cash conversion of 17.7% remains modest for a services and platforms business. Management flags multi year integration and AI transition benefits, so the bearish warning about extended execution risk is not yet disproven by this set of results.
