The UK-listed investor in private technology and artificial intelligence businesses made the investment through an in-kind contribution of Colossal shares in exchange for 600,000 newly issued consideration shares at $20 apiece, representing 15.6% of the former's outstanding share capital, according to a Thursday release. The transaction implies a contribution price of $24.89 per Colossal share. Shaires also signed an agreement enabling it to acquire up to $42 million in Colossal shares at the same price, including the initial investment.
