According to Woofun AI, the UK ranks third in the global Bitcoin adoption rate, but its 60,000 BTC holdings cannot be converted into national reserve assets due to court rulings, creating a stark contrast between the high ranking and asset disposal difficulties.

The ranking is based on the B20 country assessment published by the JAN3 Bitcoin Index in 2025. The core basis includes policy promotion efforts and over 60,000 BTC seized by law enforcement authorities. However, these assets are legally defined as stolen criminal property subject to court, rather than sovereign wealth.

According to data compiled by Woofun AI, the index takes into account multi-dimensional factors such as regulation, market access, and law enforcement seizure, and the UK finally obtained a comprehensive score of 6.44.

The US Treasury clearly responded in March 2026 that the central government does not hold any cryptocurrency assets. This shows that although the UK has a large amount of BTC at the enforcement level, its outdated official foreign exchange reserve policy falls in a completely different category from these seized assets, making it impossible to include such assets on the national balance sheet.
