Lumentum: Fiscal Q4 Earnings Snapshot

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Lumentum Holdings Inc. (LITE) on Tuesday reported a loss of $7.16 billion in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of $84.65 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $3.23 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.99 per share.

The optical networking products maker posted revenue of $1.01 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $988.6 million.

For the current quarter ending in September, Lumentum expects its per-share earnings to range from $4.05 to $4.35.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.23 billion to $1.27 billion for the fiscal first quarter.
