South Korea's Ministry of Defense and Defense Agency have established a new specialized agency to promote nuclear submarine construction projects. According to the report, the Defense Agency plans to reorganize and expand the original “Korean Submarine Project Team” into a “Nuclear Power Submarine Project Team” and establish a new “Nuclear Power Submarine Project Team” and a “Nuclear Power System Project Team” to lead the entire process of nuclear submarine design and construction, as well as core technology development work such as nuclear submarine reactors.
