China's 16th Arctic Ocean Expedition Ice Station survey operation, organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, is underway. At present, the investigation tasks for the 12 ice stations of the “Xuelong” have been completed. In this survey, the “Xuelong” carried out a total of 12 ice station operations, making it the largest single ship ever to explore the Arctic Ocean. Under the dual restrictions of ice conditions and operating conditions at the site, the inspection team completed transportation guarantees for all ice surface research materials through thorough planning, and arranged more than 30 sets of various ice buoys.
