Malaysia launched a new 10-year national energy efficiency plan on Tuesday, which aims to achieve 85 billion ringgit in energy efficiency by 2035. Malaysia's Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transition issued a statement saying that the plan aims to increase the overall energy consumption efficiency of various industries by 11.6% by 2035. The statement said that the cumulative energy savings are expected to reach 815,000 terajoules, which is equivalent to the energy demand of the Malaysian peninsula in two years.
