From July 30 to August 8, 2026, Yue Xiaoyong, Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Afghanistan, visited Turkey, Pakistan and Afghanistan. While in Turkey, Yue Xiaoyong held discussions with Turkish Foreign Ministry's Director General for South Asia Ergeny to have in-depth exchanges on issues of common concern. While in Pakistan and Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong exchanged views with relevant officials of the two countries on promoting the improvement and development of relations between the two countries.
