Listen to the news

Viewing insider transactions for P.B. Group Limited's (HKG:8331 ) over the last year, we see that insiders were net sellers. This means that a larger number of shares were sold by insiders in relation to shares purchased.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

P.B. Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the insider, Qiang Zhang, sold HK$7.0m worth of shares at a price of HK$0.26 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (HK$0.28). As a general rule we consider it to be discouraging when insiders are selling below the current price, because it suggests they were happy with a lower valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. We note that the biggest single sale was 100% of Qiang Zhang's holding. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Qiang Zhang.

Does P.B. Group Boast High Insider Ownership?

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Based on our data, P.B. Group insiders have about 4.2% of the stock, worth approximately HK$1.9m. However, it's possible that insiders might have an indirect interest through a more complex structure. We consider this fairly low insider ownership.

What Might The Insider Transactions At P.B. Group Tell Us?

An insider sold P.B. Group shares recently, but they didn't buy any. And even if we look at the last year, we didn't see any purchases.
