According to Woofun AI, Bitwise Chief Research Officer Ryan Rasmussen proposed aggressive predictions that the stablecoin market is expected to expand from the current approximately $300 billion to the $3 trillion to $5 trillion range.

In a recent interview with CoinDesk, Rasmussen indicated that the market may be underestimating the growth potential of USD Coin issuer Circle (CRCL.US). With significant market share advantages and increasingly clear regulatory policies for US stablecoins, Circle (CRCL.US) is accelerating the expansion of payment solutions and making them the second largest business pillar.

Based on existing infrastructure and brand influence, Circle (CRCL.US) is expected to become a key player in the payments industry within five years, according to data compiled by Woofun AI.

Regarding the OpenUSD project initiated by OpenStandard, which brings together more than 140 companies and cryptocurrency companies such as V.US (V.US) and BlackRock (BLK.US), Rasmussen believes that it does not pose a major threat to Circle (CRCL.US). On the contrary, the participation of these well-known financial institutions confirms the innovative ability and appeal of the regulated stablecoin market, and Circle (CRCL.US) can maintain its leading position due to its adaptability.

As the core link between traditional finance and digital assets, stablecoins will profoundly reshape global payments, cross-border transactions, and blockchain technology applications. As regulatory trends become clear and institutional investor interest rises, the competitive landscape and payment infrastructure development prospects in this field remain optimistic.
