Anthropic PBC formed a strategic partnership with Macquarie Asset Management and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC to build a data center for the Claude developer. The companies said on Monday that the newly formed entity, called Theseus Infrastructure, will “initially focus” on the US as a platform for developing artificial intelligence computing facilities. Macquarie and GIC promised to provide most equity funding for each project, while Anthropic promised to bear any increase in electricity prices for residents that these facilities might cause.
