The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure, Wall Street financial giant Citigroup (C.US) submitted a US stock position report (13F) for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026.
Statistics show that the total market value of Citi's holdings in the second quarter reached about US$303 billion, while the total market value of its holdings in the previous quarter was about US$235 billion. According to the data, Citi added 585 new shares to its portfolio in the second quarter and increased its holdings by 3,327 shares. Meanwhile, the financial giant reduced its holdings by 1,481 stocks and cleared 809 stocks. Among them, the top ten holdings account for 20.13% of the total market value of Citigroup's US stock market.

Among Citibank's top ten major stock holdings in the second quarter, Nvidia (NVDA.US) shares still ranked as Citibank's largest holdings, holding about 61.3 million shares, with an overall market value of about US$12.3 billion, accounting for 4.05% of the portfolio, a significant increase of 23.00% over the number of positions held in the previous quarter.
Apple (AAPL.US) shares are the second-largest holdings, holding about 25.29 million shares, with a market value of about US$7.3 billion, accounting for 2.42% of the portfolio, an increase of 13.57% over the previous quarter.
Microsoft (MSFT.US) shares are the third-largest holdings, holding approximately 19.05 million shares, with a market value of about US$7.1 billion, accounting for 2.35% of the portfolio, an increase of 14.28% over the previous quarter.
Micron Technology (MU.US) shares ranked fourth, holding about 5.3 million shares, with a market value of about US$6.1 billion, accounting for 2.02% of the portfolio. The number of holdings increased by 11.29% over the previous quarter.
Russell 2000 ETF-iShares Put Options (IWM.US, PUT) ranked fifth, with approximately 19.19 million positions and a market value of about US$5.8 billion, accounting for 1.90% of the portfolio. The number of holdings increased by 3.04% over the previous quarter.
Among the top ten heavy-held stocks, the stocks that ranked 6-10 in Citi's positions up to the second quarter were: NASDA-100ETF-Invesco QQQ Trust Put Options (QQQ.US, PUT), Amazon (AMZN.US), Broadcom (AVGO.US), Nvidia Put Options (NVDA.US, PUT), and Google (GOOGL.US).

Judging from the new inventory situation, Citi's new targets in the second quarter were mainly futures and some small to medium cap individual stocks. Notable new positions include SpaceX bullish options (SPCX.US, CALL) adding 2.775 million shares, with a market capitalization of about US$474 million; Roundhill Memory ETF bullish options (DRAM.US, CALL) adding about 2.29 million shares, with a market capitalization of about US$169 million. In addition, the aerospace company Honeywell Aerospace (HONA.US), which was recently spun off from Honeywell (HON.US), Bitcoin ETF-iShares bullish options (IBIT.US, CALL), and cloud computing-related individual stock put options were also included in the list of newly opened positions.
In terms of operations to increase holdings, Citi increased its holdings in the second quarter in a wide range of areas. Judging from the change in portfolio ratio, Micron Technology (MU.US) was the single stock with the most significant increase in positions this quarter. The share of holdings jumped sharply from 0.69% to 2.02%, and the number of shares held increased by about 538,000 shares. At the same time, its share of put options (MU.US, PUT) holdings rose from 0.02% to 0.95%, and the increase in holdings reached 1535%, indicating that Citi established protective hedging on a large scale at the same time.
AMD (AMD.US) also received a significant increase in holdings, increasing its holdings from 0.53% to 1.22%, and rising to 11th place in the ranking. Tesla (TSLA.US) shares increased their original holdings by 52.99%, and their share of holdings rose from 0.82% to 1.10%. The share of semiconductor index ETF-Vaneck put options (SMH.US, PUT) holdings rose from 0.13% to 0.64%, an increase of 282.71%.
Furthermore, Intel (INTC.US)'s holdings rose from 0.29% to 0.71%, Applied Materials (AMAT.US) rose from 0.36% to 0.69%, LRCX.US (LRCX.US) rose from 0.33% to 0.60%, and KLAC.US (KLAC.US) rose from 0.24% to 0.46%. Many semiconductor equipment stocks received varying degrees of increase in positions. J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM.US) increased its holdings by 34.59%, and its share of holdings rose to 0.55%. Berkshire (BRK.B.US) increased its holdings by 40.60%. On the energy side, the share of ETF-SPDR bearish options (XLE.US, PUT) holdings in the energy index rose from 0.23% to 0.46%, with an increase of 192.92%.
In terms of holdings reduction operations, Citi's top five selling targets are: industrial sector ETF-SPDR put options (XLI.US, PUT), Bank of America (BAC.US), Russell 2000ETF-iShares (IWM.US), bond index ETF-iShares iBoxx high-yield corporate bond put options (HYG.US, PUT), and Tesla put options (TSLA.US, PUT).
