According to Zhitong Finance App News, Yutong Bus (600066.SH) released its 2026 semi-annual report. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating income of 16.719 billion yuan, up 3.65% year on year; realized net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of 1,867 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.52%; realized net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies after deducting non-recurring profit and loss of 1,796 billion yuan, an increase of 15.83% year on year; basic earnings per share were 0.84 yuan.

In the first half of 2026, the highway market was affected by the adjustment of the new energy purchase tax policy, compounding that customer operations fell short of expectations, and market demand declined year-on-year; in the bus market, the national “trade-in” policy continued in 2026, batch project procurement in Tier 1 and 2 cities increased, and market demand increased year-on-year. Overall, in the first half of the year, total demand in the domestic large and medium bus market declined year-on-year. In the second half of the year, as the “trade-in” policy in the transportation sector continues to be implemented, and intercity commuting and rural passenger, cargo and mail integration continue to advance, the year-on-year decline in industry demand is expected to narrow.

In the first half of 2026, overall bus exports maintained a positive trend, and demand in various market segments such as buses and highways grew steadily. Among them, Africa was affected by the urbanization process and bus renewal projects in individual countries, and market demand increased dramatically; Europe continued to advance the electrification process driven by environmental protection policies and other factors; and demand declined in the Middle East market due to geographical conflicts. Overall, the industry's export sales increased year-on-year in the first half of the year. According to data from the China Bus Statistics Information Network, the industry's exports of large and medium-sized buses increased 18.45% year on year in the first half of 2026, of which new energy sources increased 29.77% year on year, and the growth trend is expected to continue in the second half of the year.
