According to Woofun AI, the payment token XRP performed very differently in the overall rebound of the crypto market. Although its associated ETF has recorded net inflows for the fourth week in a row, the price has not stabilized, but is under downward pressure. This divergence between capital and price reveals deep structural contradictions in current market sentiment, rather than a simple imbalance between supply and demand.
The price of XRP fell by about 5% last week and fluctuated around $1.03. In stark contrast to this, BTC, ETH, and SOL each recorded increases of 1% to 4%, driving the total cryptocurrency market value to $2.19 trillion, an overall increase of 1.4%.
According to data compiled by Woofun AI, there was a cliff-style decline in the capital inflow rate of XRP ETF, with a month-on-month decline of up to 93%, leaving a weekly net inflow of only about $1 million; on the other hand, BTC and ETH-related funds continued to attract hundreds of millions of dollars in capital inflows, highlighting the sharp differentiation of capital among different assets.
The central variable causing this contrast is the failure of regulatory expectations. The US Senate has postponed consideration of the Clarity Act, which is seen as the key to clarifying XRP's legal status and attracting institutional entry, and is not expected to be voted on until mid-September at the earliest. Traders on the X platform see this as a major downside. Nexo analyst Ilya Karchev pointed out that despite the neutral trading volume indicators, the XRP order flow is still sufficient, indicating that the market is in a state of moderate absorption, with no capital-style sell-off, and a clear breakout signal.
Institutions remain optimistic about XRP's strategic value in the long run. Digital Ascension Group Chairman Jack Cleaver believes that XRP is expected to evolve into a global cross-chain bridge asset, and may even be recognized as a “Tier 1 asset” by the Bank for International Settlements in the future.
This highest level of capital means extremely high liquidity and stability, and marks a fundamental leap forward in XRP's potential role in the global financial infrastructure.
