Swiss Re Posts Rise in H1 Net Income; Insurance Revenue Down

01:18 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Swiss Re (SREN.SW) said Thursday its net income for the first half grew, while insurance revenue declined year over year. Net income attributable to common shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was $2.83 billion, compared with $2.6 billion earlier. EPS moved to $9.51 from $8.64. The Swiss reinsurance company's insurance revenue was $20.26 billion, compared with $20.95 billion a year ago. Looking ahead, the company said it remains "well on track" to achieve targeted net income of $4.5 billion in the full year.
