11:15 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Financial Conduct Authority simplified its rules on UK equity initial public offerings to bolster the global competitiveness of the country's listings market and attract more companies. The changes included the removal of certain requirements for companies, such as the seven-day waiting period between publishing an approved registration document or prospectus and connected research, the regulator said in a Wednesday release. The reforms are aimed at reducing execution risk for issuers, cutting compliance costs and simplifying access to public markets.
