The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Wednesday, Nvidia (NVDA.US) rose more than 4% to $220.62. According to the news, on August 4, during a SpaceX investor conference call, CEO Musk announced that the company has decided to exclusively use Nvidia technology in AI computing power construction. Musk said that SpaceX believes that Nvidia's Vera Rubin architecture “is currently the best AI computer” and plans to launch the StarMind satellite equipped with the Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-mounted system next year to extend AI computing power to near-Earth orbit.

Musk revealed that SpaceX expects computing power to exceed 2 gigawatts (GW) by the end of this year and close to 10 gigawatts by the end of next year. Meanwhile, the company plans to deploy the Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale system on the ground and in space and use it for the “Starmind” satellite project. It is expected to launch related satellites next year. Furthermore, it is also worth mentioning that SpaceX's capital expenditure rose sharply. The company's capital expenditure in the second quarter was about 18.4 billion US dollars, compared to only 2.83 billion US dollars in the same period last year, of which capital expenditure related to the AI business was about 15.8 billion US dollars, accounting for 86% of the total capital expenditure.
