According to newly released ADP data, recruitment by private US companies slowed sharply in July, and most of the new jobs were created in the healthcare industry. According to the ADP report, the number of non-farm payrolls increased to 44,000 after the seasonal adjustment of menstruation, down from 95,000 after the June reduction, and also lower than the 75,000 expected by the market. Overall, all of the growth came from the service sector, which added 47,000 new jobs, while commodity producers lost 3,000 jobs. Of these jobs, the education and health services industry has created 36,000 jobs, continuing the industry's long-standing trend of leading employment growth. Financial activities added 10,000 jobs, professional and commercial services contributed 9,000 jobs, and other service categories increased 6,000 jobs. ADP chief economist Nella Richardson said, “Job seekers are extremely sensitive to real-time economic conditions. Rapid wage growth means there are supply constraints in some parts of the labor market. At the same time, typical recruitment models are changing as employers respond to changing macroeconomic conditions.”
