The temperature has continued to be high recently in Wuhan, Hubei. In the Hankou Binjiang International Business District in Jiang'an District of Wuhan City, the exterior of the building is clean and beautiful. There is no air conditioner, but the room can maintain a comfortable temperature of 24℃. The traditional air conditioning model is not used here, but instead uses Yangtze River water for cooling, which is both energy efficient and green and low carbon. The Jiangshuiyuan Renewable Energy Station is located underground on Yanjiang Avenue in Jiang'an District, covering an area of 12,000 square meters. Refrigeration using Yangtze River water was completed here. According to information, the operating principle of an energy station is to achieve energy conversion through heat pump technology. Low-temperature air conditioning water enters the user terminal, absorbs heat, then rises back to the heat pump unit, and then circulates after lowering the temperature. The entire cycle changes only the temperature, does not consume water, and does not change water quality. In Wuhan in summer, the temperature difference between the bottom of the Yangtze River water and the outside can reach about 10℃. This natural temperature difference makes it possible to use Yangtze River water for cooling. Compared with traditional air conditioning, the Yangtze River water cooling method does not require a cooling tower, so there is no noise, fog, or heat emissions, which can mitigate the urban heat island effect.
