Ministry of Commerce: Strengthening export controls on dual-use items related to drones to the US

Exports of drones included in the “Dual-Use Items Export Control List of the People's Republic of China”, their key components, and related technology to the US are strictly examined on a case-by-case basis, and licensing facilitation measures are not applied. The announcement was officially implemented from the date of publication.

Ministry of Commerce Notice No. 34 of 2026 to strengthen export controls on dual-use items related to drones to the US

According to the relevant provisions of laws and regulations such as the “Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China” and the “Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Export Control of Dual-Use Items”, it was decided to strengthen export controls on drone-related dual-use items to the United States in order to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation. The relevant matters are now announced as follows:

Exports of drones included in the “Dual-Use Items Export Control List of the People's Republic of China”, their key components, and related technology to the US are strictly examined on a case-by-case basis, and licensing facilitation measures are not applied.
