The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 5, the Ministry of Commerce issued a decision to take countermeasures against six US entities including Applied DNA Science. Recently, the United States sanctioned Chinese enterprises on the grounds of so-called “forced labor,” seriously violating international law and basic norms governing international relations, and seriously infringing on China's sovereignty, security, and development interests. Six US entities, including Applied DNA Science, assisted and supported illegal US sanctions involving the border, which is of a bad nature. According to Sections 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, and 15 of the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, and the provisions of Sections 3, 5, 8, and 10 of the “Provisions Implementing the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China”, the Chinese side decided to include six US entities, including Applied DNA Science, on the countermeasure list and take the following countermeasures: organizations and individuals within China are prohibited from engaging in related transactions or cooperative activities with them.
