Siemens Energy said its profit in the third fiscal quarter more than tripled, while orders and revenue both hit record highs. The German energy equipment manufacturer's profit, excluding special projects, more than tripled to 1.62 billion euros, compared to 497 million euros in the same period last year. As a key profit indicator, the company's profit margin for the third fiscal quarter excluding special projects was 14.2%, compared to 5.1% for the same period last year. The company also anticipates that its profit margin for the full fiscal year, excluding special projects, will be at the higher end of its outlook range. The company said in May that the outlook range is 10% to 12%. The company said that orders for the third fiscal quarter increased by more than 8.5% year over year on a comparable basis to reach 17.93 billion euros, and analysts' expectations were 16.76 billion euros. Revenue was €11.45 billion compared to €9.75 billion in the same period last year, and analysts' expectations were €11.25 billion.
