The Zhitong Finance App learned that Dragon Resources (01712) opened nearly 15% higher after earnings. As of press release, it had risen 14.96% to HK$5.725, with a turnover of HK$721,400.

According to the news, on August 4, Dragon Resources announced that the Group is expected to obtain a net profit of about 60 million Australian dollars to 65 million Australian dollars for the period ending June 30, 2026, while net profit after tax for the period ending June 30, 2025 is 12.69 million Australian dollars.

Compared with the corresponding period, this increase in net profit after tax was mainly due to the following factors: achieving a higher average gold price during the reporting period; the Vammala plant obtained higher mining ore grades and gold recovery rates, boosting gold production; charging fees to process gold-containing ore from neighboring operator Botnia Exploration Ab in Sweden brought positive contributions; and the sale of shares in Aurion Resource Limited (TSXV: AU) during the reporting period.
