12:20 PM EDT, 08/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe reduced its EPS forecasts for Technip Energies (TE.PA) after the company's updated 2026 segment guidance, saying the disruption caused by the Middle East war clouds a "compelling" long-term story. "The 2026 EPS is revised downward, essentially through the mechanical effects of margins, taxation and the share count, rather than of revenue. Project Delivery's recurring EBIT margin is brought down from 7.0% to 3.9%, reflecting the reduction in the segment's EBITDA guidance, lowered from a 6.5-7.5% range to 'above 5.0%'. This revision incorporates the additional logistics, security and business-continuity costs borne in the Middle East," the research firm wrote in a Monday note. "Management estimates these at roughly EUR30-40 million per quarter, on the basis of a lasting disruption to the Strait of Hormuz and the damage recorded at client sites in Qatar, notably North Field trains 4 and 6, as well as in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates." As such, the projected EPS for 2026 was lowered by 13.9% to 1.56 euros, while that for 2027 was cut by 4.67% to 2.23 euros. The buy-rated stock has a price target of 42.6 euros.
