The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission and the China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly announced new measures to deepen practical cooperation and close collaborative development between the two markets. After attending the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's five-year Chinese treasury bond futures listing ceremony, Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission Chief Executive Leung Fung-yee told the media that during her meeting with China Securities Regulatory Commission Chairman Wu Qing and in her speech, they all indicated that they attached great importance to supporting the inclusion of Southbound Connect in the RMB counter. Further discussions are still needed, including adjustments to the mainland system.

Asked about the order of implementation of a series of measures, Leung Fung-yee responded that many aspects are closely linked. For example, launching more indices based on RMB assets has a lot to do with launching more different ETF products. She emphasized that the measures are in no particular order to advance the relevant goals.

Asked which RMB futures products will be launched in the future, Leung Fung-yee pointed out that every futures product's risk control situation and system formulation will take time. There are many RMB denominated products, and the exchange is in close contact with the Securities Regulatory Commission to examine which products can take the lead.
