As of 9:00 today, 18 rivers in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Yunnan and other places are still overwarning; of these, the Hulan River in Heilongjiang Province remains overprotected. According to forecasts, from August 3 to 5, due to rainfall and upstream incoming water, numbered floods will occur in the Heilongjiang River and the Hulan River, a tributary of the Songhua River in Heilongjiang Province; the Huangshui River, a tributary of the Yongding River in Shanxi; the Qianyou River, a tributary of the Han River in Shaanxi; the Enyang River, a tributary of the Qujiang River in Sichuan; and the Dragon River, a tributary of the Yangtze River in Chongqing, may experience excessive flooding. From 8:00 a.m. on August 3 to 8:00 p.m. on August 4, flash floods are likely to occur in northwestern Hubei, southeastern Shaanxi, and parts of central Chongqing; among them, flash floods are very likely to occur in central Chongqing. The Ministry of Water Resources issued a red meteorological warning for flash floods at 8 o'clock today, maintaining the blue flood warning and reminding the public to take precautions in areas affected by torrential rain and floods.
