Strategy stock fell 4.6% today to US$93.28, even though the headline from Q2 is not the top line. Revenue sat around US$122 million, but the real story for you is on the profit line. The company booked another heavy net loss in the billions over the trailing twelve months and earnings per share stayed deeply in the red.
Over the past three months the share price has already suffered a steep drop, so today’s move lands on an already bruised chart. The key question now is how that margin and profit squeeze fits with multi year earnings forecasts and a low price-to-book (P/B) multiple.

For a bullish view on Strategy, the case now rests on two pillars. The software and services engine is still bringing in US$122.37 million of quarterly revenue, which gives the Bitcoin treasury activity a real operating base rather than a shell. At the same time the company increased holdings to 843,775 BTC and raised US$8.4b of capital in Q2 2026. That scale keeps the Bitcoin proxy angle intact for investors who want direct exposure through equity and who view large reserves as a core part of the appeal.
The bear case finds plenty of support in these results. Strategy swung from a Q2 2025 profit to a Q2 2026 net loss of US$8.62b and a trailing 12 month loss of US$31.37b, mostly from fair value hits on Bitcoin. New “net Bitcoin” disclosures highlight how debt and the 11.5% STRC preferred dividend dilute reserves available to common holders. The move toward active BTC sales to fund obligations introduces two way flow that can steady liquidity but also hard wires earnings and equity volatility into the model.
