China Nuclear Power announced that on July 31, 2026, the Executive Meeting of the State Council reviewed and decided to approve units 1 and 2 of the Zhuanghe Nuclear Power Project in Liaoning and Units 3 and 4 of the Zhejiang Jinqimen Nuclear Power Project. The company's subsidiary CNNC Datang Zhuanghe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and CNNC Nuclear Energy Co., Ltd. are the owner units respectively. Two “Hualong 1” pressurized water reactor nuclear power units were built in this phase of the project. Currently, the project site is proceeding in a steady and orderly manner with all preparations before construction starts.
